Gopinath Printing Press

We are located at number 21 in Rambaug Society, which is right on A K Road in Surat. If you know where Saraswati Vidhyalay is, we are just a short walk from there. The shop is always full of the sound of the printing machines running. It can get quite loud, so we usually have to raise our voices to hear each other. We do all the regular stuff like wedding cards, business cards, and those little booklets for local businesses. There are stacks of paper everywhere you look, different weights and colors piled up high. My father started this press years ago, and I grew up watching the ink get on his hands. Now I have the same ink on mine. It is a messy job but there is something nice about seeing a finished stack of cards. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to sit and wait, which puts us behind on our orders. We try to be honest with people about when their work will be done. The machines are old and they need a lot of oiling and care to keep them from jamming up. It’s a small family business and we don't have a big marketing team. People just know us from being in the society for so long. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
