Dinesh Dabeli Near Drb College China Gate New City Light

Our little spot is located in City Light, Surat, right near the DRB College and the China Gate. If you are walking around New City Light, you’ll probably smell the spices and the potatoes being cooked up long before you see us. We’ve been serving dabeli here for a while, and the college students are our most regular faces. They usually crowd around the counter during their breaks or after their classes are done for the day. It’s a busy corner, and things can get a bit chaotic in the evenings when everyone wants a quick snack. We spend most of our time prepping the ingredients, chopping onions, and making sure the buns are fresh. The stall isn't big, but we keep everything organized so we can serve people fast. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with the heat from the stove, but we like the energy of the street. You’ll see us there from the afternoon until late at night. We don't have a fancy seating area, just a few spots where people can stand and eat while they chat. The local traffic in Surat is always moving, but people always find a way to pull over for a bit. We just try to keep the taste consistent and make sure we don't run out of the chutneys before the night ends. It’s just honest work in a very busy part of the city.
