Bansi Chat Puri

Bansi Chat Puri is located right in Chhakkapir Gali 62. If you know the area, you know it can get pretty crowded around here. We have been working out of this small space for a good amount of time. Every day we set up the counter and get the ingredients lined up. It gets noisy in the lane with all the bikes and people walking past, but we are used to the sounds of the neighborhood. The name Bansi Chat Puri is painted on the front so people don't miss it. We spend most of our time frying things and chopping vegetables. It is not a quiet job. The steam fills up the room and sometimes it gets a bit cramped when too many people are waiting at once. We just keep our heads down and serve the plates as fast as we can. Being at Chhakkapir Gali 62 means we see the same faces every afternoon. Some people stop by for a quick bite on their way home from work. Others just stand around and talk while they eat. We don't have much furniture, just the basic stuff you need to run a shop. Sometimes we run out of certain things before the sun goes down, which can be frustrating for us and the customers, but we do what we can. It is just a local business trying to keep things moving along day by day in this part of town and we hope the rain stays away so people can stand outside without getting wet.
