Village Dhaba

People often ask how we ended up right here in Village Khirki, just across from that big MGF Mall in Saket. It’s a busy spot, that’s for sure. Most days, we’re just keeping up with the noise from the road and the people walking back and forth between Malviya Nagar and the shopping area. We’ve been running this dhaba at T 88, C 2 for a while now. It isn't anything fancy, just a plain place where you can sit down and get a meal. The fans keep spinning even when it is quiet in the afternoons. Sometimes the traffic outside gets stuck and we just watch the cars from the doorway. We spend a lot of time cleaning the tables and making sure everything is ready before the evening rush starts. It gets quite crowded when the sun goes down. Most of the people who come in live nearby or work at the mall across the way. We know many of them by face by now. Delhi summers are tough in a place like this, but we manage. We just keep the doors open and do what we do every day. There isn’t much of a story to tell beyond that. It is just a regular spot on a regular street in Malviya Nagar where people come to eat when they are hungry. We try to keep things simple and not overcomplicate what we are doing here.
