The Colony Bistro

Lajpat Nagar 4 is a loud, busy place, and we are right there in the Main Market of Amar Colony at C 31. Our doors stay open for anyone who is tired of shopping or just needs a place to sit for a bit. The street outside is always full of people looking for deals, so it feels good to have a space that is a bit more stationary. We put out our chairs and tables every morning and wait for the first few people to trickle in. It is not a very formal place. You might see a bit of paint peeling or a table that wobbles if you don't set it right. We think that is just part of being a local bistro. We serve coffee, snacks, and whatever else people are looking for when they take a break from the market. Our staff is mostly local people who know the area well. We don't have any big corporate rules. We just try to be decent to everyone who walks through the door. Sometimes the music is a bit loud, and other times it is quiet enough to hear the traffic outside. It is just a spot in the market where life happens. We don't try to be anything we are not. We are just a bistro in the middle of the colony, doing what we do every day. It gets messy sometimes, but that is okay.
