About Singhals Sweet – Food & Beverages in South Delhi
Being in East Of Kailash near Amrit Puri means things are always moving. We are tucked away in Garhi 67 B, which isn't the biggest spot, but it works for what we do. The mornings usually start when it’s still a bit dark out. We have to get the large pans ready and check the milk deliveries. There’s a lot of steam in the back room and the floor gets a bit sticky, no matter how much we scrub it down. People stop by for a quick bite while they are walking to the metro or waiting for a rickshaw. It’s a busy little corner of the world. We don’t have fancy seating or anything like that. Most folks just stand outside or take their stuff home in paper boxes. Sometimes the monsoon rain makes the lane a bit messy, so we have to keep moving the entrance mat. We’ve been at this for some time now. You get used to the sounds of the traffic and the bells from the nearby temple. The shelves are always being refilled because things go fast during the festival months. We just try to keep things simple and honest. My cousin helps out when it gets crowded in the evenings. It feels like a second home because we spend more time here than at our actual house. Just a regular shop in a regular part of Delhi.
