Sweets Cafe

Sweets Cafe is on Mangal Bazar Road, right near the police station here in Sangam Vihar. It’s a busy spot, especially on market days when the road gets so crowded you can barely walk. We opened up in D-2 a while back. Mostly, we just spend our time making tea, frying up snacks, and keeping the tables clean for whoever walks in. It’s not a fancy place with waiters in uniforms or anything like that. People from the neighborhood stop by after shopping or when they’re waiting for someone. The smell of frying samosas is usually in the air by the afternoon. We have a few regulars who sit in the same corner every day and talk for hours. Sometimes it gets a bit loud because of the traffic outside, but that’s just how it is on Mangal Bazar Road. We try to keep the glass counter stocked with whatever we made fresh that morning. It’s a lot of work getting everything ready before the lunch rush starts. When the police officers from next door come in, it gets a bit more serious for a minute, then goes back to normal. We don’t really have a big staff, just a few of us doing everything from the cooking to the billing. It’s a simple life running a small cafe in this part of Delhi. We just stay open until the market starts to close down and the street lights come on. It's a busy, regular life.
