Shiv Dhaba

You’ll find our dhaba at B/39-B in the Kalkaji area of Delhi. It’s a small dhaba, the kind you find in many corners of this city. Being in 110019 means there’s always people walking by or looking for a quick bite to eat. We don’t have a fancy dining room or anything like that. It’s mostly just basic tables and chairs where you can sit and eat your rotis and sabzi. The kitchen is always busy, especially during the lunch hour when the office workers come out. We try to keep the food simple and hot. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped in here when it’s raining outside and everyone wants to come in. We’ve been at this address for a good while now. Dealing with the Delhi heat in a kitchen isn't easy, but we manage. We aren't trying to be a big restaurant, just a place where you can get a decent meal without spending too much. Most of our regulars live or work right here in Kalkaji. They know us by name and we know what they usually order. It’s a lot of long hours, from early morning prep to late night cleaning. But it’s our business and we stay on top of things. Just a regular dhaba for regular people in the neighborhood. We are just here doing the daily grind and serving the food we know how to cook. Delhi is like that.
