Royal Park Hall

Our place is in Masjid Moth, right there in Greater Kailash II. It is a hall where people come to hold their local functions or small gatherings. The address is easy to find if you know the mosque nearby. We spend our days mostly moving chairs around and making sure the floor is mopped after an event ends. It is not a huge corporate space, just a regular hall that families in the neighborhood use when they have something to celebrate or a meeting to hold. The walls are painted a simple color and we have some basic lights fixed on the ceiling. Delhi summers can be tough, so we make sure the ventilation is working as well as it can. Usually, the phone rings with someone asking if the date is free or how many people can fit inside the room. We tell them the truth about the space we have. Sometimes the traffic in GK II makes it hard for guests to find parking, so we try to help them out where we can on the street. It’s a family-run kind of operation and we don’t use any big words to describe it. It is just Royal Park Hall. We have seen many kids grow up and then come back here for their own parties years later. It’s just a part of the local life in this bit of South Delhi.
