Ravinder Pan Shop

Ravinder Pan Shop is located in Green Park, and it has been sitting in the same spot for quite a while now. It is a tiny place, just enough room for one or two people to stand behind the wood counter. Green Park is a nice area, but our corner is just about the work. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and putting things back in their place after the lunch rush. There is always someone pulling up on a scooter or walking over from the nearby shops to say hello. We don't have a fancy sign or any of that corporate stuff you see on the main roads. It is just a local shop where we know most of our customers by their first names or at least by what they usually buy. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, so we have to stay in the shade. It gets a bit cramped when the deliveries arrive, and we have to stack things wherever they fit. There isn't any big philosophy behind what we do. We just open up early and stay until the lights in Green Park start going off. It’s honest work and it keeps us connected to what is happening around here. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the traffic go by. Other days we don't even have time to eat our own lunch because of the crowd.
