Mithas Sweet Shop

Mithas Sweet Shop is over at Anand Lok Market 4 in Sanwal Nagar. We’ve been operating from this corner for a while. The market is a local one, so it doesn’t get as crazy as some of the bigger ones in the city, but it still has its busy moments. Our shop is filled with various items we prepare daily. We start early, usually while it’s still dark, to get things ready for the morning. There’s a lot of lifting and stirring involved in what we do. The shop itself is pretty straightforward. We have the counters where everything is laid out and some space for customers to stand. We don’t have much in the way of seating. It’s more of a place where you come in, get what you need, and head back home. We know the neighbors pretty well since they’re the ones who come in most often. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the entrance for a few minutes, or we’re out of a specific item because the milk didn't arrive on time. These things happen. We just keep working and serving whoever walks in. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even if we’re just staff working the shifts. Sanwal Nagar is a quiet area mostly, and we like being part of the daily routine for the people living here at Anand Lok. We try to keep the display cases wiped down, though the glass gets foggy when it's humid out.
