We operate Kohli Overseas Trading Co. from E-595 in Greater Kailash-II. It is a residential area, so it feels a bit more relaxed than an industrial zone. Our office is mostly filled with desks, old filing cabinets, and samples of the products we trade. We spend a lot of our day on the computer or talking on the phone to suppliers. Trading is a lot of back-and-forth communication, so there is plenty of waiting involved. We usually have our tea together around the central table while we wait for emails to come in. From our windows, we can see people going about their daily lives in GK-II, which is a nice distraction. The space can get a little tight when we have new samples arriving in big boxes. We end up stacking things in the corners and moving chairs around. We don't have a big sign or a fancy lobby because we don't really get walk-in customers. It is a practical workspace for people who just want to get the job done. We don't wear suits or follow a strict corporate code. Most of us just wear what is comfortable and focus on the logistics. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit overwhelming, but we just take it one pile at a time. It is a steady way of working, and we have been at it for a good while now.
