We run Home And We out of a basement space at 59-60 in Rampuri, which is right in the Kalkaji area. Being in a basement means we don’t get much natural light, so we have to keep the overhead lights on all day long. It stays a bit cooler down here during the Delhi summers, which is one good thing about the location. The space is filled with boxes and some of the items we sell, so you have to be careful where you walk so you don't trip over a crate. We do a lot of the packing and labeling ourselves right here on the big wooden table in the middle of the room. It gets a bit chaotic when a big shipment is going out, with tape guns clicking and everyone trying to find the right size box. Rampuri is a crowded neighborhood, so finding a parking spot for the delivery truck is always a bit of a struggle every morning. We’ve gotten to know the other shop owners on the street, and we often trade favors or help each other out with small things. Our team is small, just a couple of us handling the orders and making sure the inventory is updated. It’s a bit of a squeeze when everyone is here at once, but we make it work. We don't have a flashy storefront or anything like that, just our workspace down the stairs where we handle the daily grind.
