Vidyadayini Cbse School and Smt. Radhabai D. Gopal Rao Pu College is located over in K R Nagar in Harihar. It's both a residential and a day boarding setup, so there is always someone around the place. In the mornings, the hostel area is quite noisy with everyone getting ready. We have the younger kids in the CBSE section and then the older ones doing their PU college work. Being in Davangere district, it can get a bit dusty, especially when the wind picks up near the campus. The staff rooms are usually cluttered with notebooks and old registers that we haven't found a permanent spot for yet. We spend our mornings checking on the boarders and making sure the day scholars have arrived safely. The building has several floors, and climbing those stairs multiple times a day is a workout for the teachers. During lunch, the smell of sambar from the canteen fills the hallways. It’s a practical place, focused on getting the daily lessons finished. We have some trees around the edges of the property that provide a bit of green, but mostly it’s just the concrete buildings and the classrooms. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or a light bulb needs changing, so the maintenance guy is usually busy. It’s just the regular routine of a school day in Harihar, trying to keep everyone on schedule and making sure the gates are locked on time in the evening.
