Jaycees School

Jaycees School is located in the Sachidanandapura area of Sringeri, way up in Chikmagalur. It’s a beautiful part of the country, very green and often quite misty in the mornings. Our school sits in a spot that feels very peaceful, away from the big city rush. We’ve got a mix of buildings here, some newer and some that have been around for a while. The students here are lucky to have so much fresh air and space. We focus on the basics of a good education without making a big deal about it. The staff is like a small family; we all know each other and the kids’ families too. It’s a tight-knit community here in Sringeri. You’ll often find us sitting together during the break, talking about the weather or the local crops. The school day starts with a simple assembly, and then everyone heads to their rooms. We have a decent library and some space for sports, which the kids really enjoy when the rain stops. It rains a lot here, as anyone in Chikmagalur knows, so we spend a lot of time indoors. We don't have a lot of corporate rules or polished brochures. We just show up, do our work, and help the children learn. It’s a quiet life, and we like the pace of it. We have been working here for quite some time now and it feels like a home.
