Jnanasagara Central School

You can find Jnanasagara Central School out at number 207 in Kommnal, which is part of the Kommanahalu area in Shimoga. It’s a bit of a drive out here, which makes it a lot quieter than the schools in the middle of the city. We have a decent amount of space because we aren't squeezed between tall buildings. The 577225 area is quite green, and we have some trees around the perimeter that provide a bit of shade during the hotter months. The school building is a solid, two-story structure. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of classrooms with big wooden doors. We follow the central curriculum, so the books are heavy and the syllabus is long. The teachers often stay late to finish their corrections or prepare for the next day. We have a small playground where the kids play cricket or just run around when they have the chance. The commute for some of our staff is a bit long, but we like the quiet atmosphere of Kommanahalu. It’s not a high-tech campus with tablets and smartboards everywhere. We still use a lot of paper and pencils and traditional teaching methods. The office staff is usually busy with bus routes, schedules, and fee slips. We see a lot of the same families year after year, so we know who is related to who. It’s a steady kind of life here, just following the school calendar and trying to make sure the kids learn.
