Govt High School

The Govt High School is located right in the Govt High School Compound in Gama, which is part of Shikaripur in Shimoga. This is a typical government school where we serve the local kids from the surrounding area. The building has that classic look with high ceilings and wide hallways that have seen a lot of use over the years. We have a big compound where the students play cricket or sit under the trees during their breaks. It is a very public space, and everyone in Gama knows where it is. We follow the state rules and the standard curriculum. There are not many fancy gadgets here, just blackboards, chalk, and the teachers' voices. The desks are old and have names carved into them from students who were here years ago. We have a lot of students coming from farming families, so the school follows the rhythm of the town. During the harvest season, attendance might dip a bit, but things usually stay on track. The office is full of old registers and paper files. We do our work without making a big fuss about it. It is about providing a place for the local teenagers to get their high school education. The bell rings loudly across the compound, signaling the end of another day in Shikaripur. We make sure the playground equipment is kept in decent shape for the afternoon sports.
