Pragathi Vidya Mandir

Pragathi Vidya Mandir sits right on Kote Road in the Fort area of Chitradurga. If you know the old fort part of town, you know exactly where we are. It’s a busy spot with plenty of history around. The school building is an older one, fitting in with the rest of the neighborhood. We have students coming in every morning, mostly local kids from the surrounding streets. It gets quite dusty here in Chitradurga, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the floors. Inside, it's just your standard school setup. We have different rooms for the different ages. We don't have much of a garden, but the kids find space to run around during the breaks. The noise of the town carries in sometimes, but we are used to it by now. The teachers here are practical people. They just want the kids to learn their lessons well. We don't have any big gimmicks. We just open the doors early and stay until the last student leaves. Most parents here are working hard, and they expect us to do the same. We follow the curriculum and prepare for the board exams like everyone else. It’s a straightforward place to work and learn. Kote Road is always moving, and we are just a part of that daily rhythm.
