Our school is out in Ripponpet, right along the Thrithahalli Road. If you are looking for us, we are near where Sister Gracelin stays. It is a very green part of Shimoga, so it rains quite a bit and things stay damp for a few months of the year. The building is simple and has a few different sections for the various classes we run. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the usual school stuff like marking attendance and making sure the classrooms have enough chalk and dusters. The road outside can get a bit muddy during the monsoon season, which makes it a challenge for the kids getting to the gate in the morning. We have a small area in the back where we grow some plants and the children can sit during their breaks. It is a peaceful spot, away from the main town noise. Most of the parents around here are farmers or work in small shops nearby. We know almost everyone who comes through the doors by their first name. The office is small and usually has a stack of books waiting to be handed out to the students. We do not have fancy technology or anything like that, just basic desks and chairs and the blackboards. Every morning starts with the same routine of ringing the bell and getting everyone into their seats. It is just how things are done here in Ripponpet.
