Veg Dragon Restaurant

Our restaurant, Veg Dragon, is situated within Hotel Shevaroys on Hospital Road in Salem. The area is usually quite busy because of all the medical facilities and shops around here. We are right in the middle of it all. We chose to focus on vegetarian dishes, and even though the name sounds a bit flashy, the place itself is quite humble. We use a section of the hotel to serve our guests and anyone else who walks in from the street. It’s a convenient spot for people who are at the hospital or working nearby and need a quick meal. The kitchen isn’t huge, but we manage to put out a good variety of dishes throughout the day. We don’t have a polished corporate look. It’s just a regular dining room with basic furniture. We do our own shopping for ingredients every morning to see what’s available. Sometimes we change things up depending on what we find at the market. Working in a hotel environment means we have to be ready at all hours, so we spend a lot of time here. It’s a lot of hard work, but we like the routine. We aren’t trying to compete with the big chains; we just want to provide a solid vegetarian option for people on Hospital Road. It’s an honest little business run by people who live right here in Salem and know what the locals like to eat.
