3 Star Mohal Chicken Biryani Centre

Our place is called 3 Star Mohal Chicken Biryani Centre, and we’re located in Pudupet Attur, Salem. Specifically, we’re near Sangam Readymade, which is a big shop everyone in the area knows. Salem is famous for its food, and we just wanted to be a part of that. We focus mostly on biryani, as the name says. It’s a small shop, nothing too fancy at all. We have big pots of rice and meat cooking from early in the morning. The smell usually fills the street before we even open. We get a lot of people stopping by on their way to work or families picking up dinner on their way home. It’s a busy little spot in Pudupet. We don't have a lot of fancy seating; it’s more about the food than the furniture. We keep the floor swept and the plates clean, and that’s about it. My brother and I run the front, and we have a couple of cooks who have been with us for a long time. They know exactly how to spice the rice properly. We don't use any secret recipes or anything, just what we learned from our family. It’s hard work standing over the steam all day, but it’s what we do.
