Udupi Ananda Bhavan

We've been here on Salem Main Road for a good while now. Being so close to the Attur Bus Stand means we see a lot of people coming and going all day. It gets pretty busy, especially when the big buses pull in and everyone hops off looking for something. Our place at No 540 is just a regular spot where people stop for a quick bite or a coffee before they head back out on their journey. It’s not fancy or anything like that. Just some tables and chairs and the usual smells coming from the kitchen. We have to wake up really early to get everything ready because the travelers start arriving pretty soon after the sun comes up. You know how it is in Attur, things can get a bit dusty with all the traffic outside, but we try to keep our little corner decent enough for everyone. Most folks who come in are regulars from around Salem or people just passing through on the main road. We don't really do any big advertisements or anything. People just know where we are. Sometimes the tea runs out faster than we expect on those cold mornings. It’s a bit noisy with the horns honking outside, but that’s just life near the station. We just focus on getting the plates out and making sure the floor is swept. There isn't much to say except we are open most days. It's just Udupi Ananda Bhavan.
