Sherif Biryani Restaurant

So we are based over at 63 Suramangalam Main Road in Palapatti. Salem is a busy place and this spot right opposite the Neuro Foundation at Three Roads is usually crawling with people all day. We’ve been running Sherif Biryani Restaurant for some time now and it is mostly just a lot of hard work in a hot kitchen. You know how it goes with biryani, you have to get the rice and the meat just right or people will let you know about it pretty quickly. We don't really have a fancy setup or anything like that. It’s just a regular shop where we cook every morning and hope the pots empty out by the end of the day. Sometimes we run out of things early and sometimes it's a bit slower, but that's just how the food business works around here. The street outside is always noisy with traffic coming from the main road, but inside we just focus on the food we’re making. We aren't trying to be some big corporate chain or anything like that. It's just us and the staff trying to do an honest job. Most of the people who come in are locals from Palapatti or people heading towards the foundation who need a quick meal. We just keep the floors swept and the spices ready. It's a simple life running a restaurant on a busy road in Salem. We just try to get the flavors right and keep things moving along.
