Shaanthini Restaurant

We have been at Manivannan Street for a while now. It is right near the new bus stand in Salem, so it gets pretty busy around here. The restaurant is just a regular place where people come to eat when they are traveling or just live nearby. We do not have fancy decorations or anything. It is mostly just tables and chairs and the smell of food from the kitchen. Some days are louder than others, especially when the buses pull in and people are rushing to get a meal before their next trip. We try to keep things clean and moving fast. My family helps out, and we have some staff who have been with us for years. They know most of the regulars by name. Sometimes we run out of things if the crowd is too big, but that is just how it goes. The street outside can be a bit noisy with all the traffic, but inside it is okay. We just focus on getting the cooking done and making sure there is enough for everyone who walks through the door. It is not a big corporate operation, just a local spot. We open early and stay open until the dinner rush is over. If you are ever near the bus stand, you will see our sign. It is nothing special to look at from the outside, but we are here every day. People come in for a quick bite or to sit for a bit while waiting.
