Raj Krishna Restaurant

Raj Krishna Restaurant is part of the Raj Krishna Residency over on Kamarajanar Road. We are at No 264 / 20, right across from the State Bank of India in Atur Bazaar. Being in Salem, we get a lot of local foot traffic from the bazaar area. The restaurant is on the ground floor, and we keep the doors open mostly to let the breeze in. It’s a busy spot in 636102. People come in after doing their bank work or finishing up their shopping at the market. We have a few guys working in the back who have been with us for years. They know the routine well. We start the coffee early in the morning because that's what people want first. The tables are the sturdy kind, easy to clean. We don't have any fancy art on the walls or anything like that. Just some calendars and maybe a clock that’s a few minutes fast. It gets pretty loud during the lunch hour when everyone is talking at once. We just focus on getting the food out to the tables quickly. Sometimes we run out of things if the market was short on supplies that day, but we make do. It’s a family-run kind of place, so you’ll see us around all the time. We aren’t trying to be a five-star place. We just want to serve the people who live and work here in Atur Bazaar every day. It's hard work but it's okay.
