Pink & Blue Restaurant

So we are here in Ammapettai, right at 92-1, Pattanayakar Kadu. If you know the area in Salem, you probably know where the Essar Petrol Bunk is on the main road. Well, we are just opposite to that. It’s a busy spot honestly. We started Pink & Blue Restaurant because we wanted a place where people could just sit and eat without it being a big deal. The name? My brother and I just thought it sounded okay, nothing fancy behind it. Every morning we get here early to start things up. Salem gets pretty hot so the fans are always going full speed. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud with all the buses and trucks going to the bunk, but you get used to it after a week or two. We have a few tables and chairs, nothing too expensive because we want people to feel okay coming in with their work clothes on. We spend a lot of time cleaning up and making sure things are ready for the lunch rush. It's mostly locals who stop by, or guys working at the petrol pump coming over for a quick break. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It is just us and a couple of helpers who have been with us for a while now. We just try to keep the food ready on time and hope the electricity doesn't go out during the busy hours.
