Orange County

You can find Orange County at 462 Junction Main Road in the Suramangalam area of Salem. We are right across from Sona College, so we see a lot of students walking by all day. Some of them come in to hang out, and others just pass through. The road outside is always noisy with buses and bikes, but inside it’s a bit calmer. We’ve been here for a while now, just doing our thing. It’s not a fancy setup. We have tables and chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. We spend our mornings getting the place ready, checking the supplies, and making sure the lights work. Salem gets pretty hot, so we try to keep the fans going at full speed. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just open the doors and see who comes in. Sometimes it’s families, sometimes it’s just someone waiting for a bus at the junction. We do our best to keep things clean, but with the dust from the main road, it’s a constant battle. We aren't part of some big corporation; it’s just a local business run by people who live nearby. We know the neighbors and the shopkeepers on either side of us. It’s a busy spot in 636005, and we’re just glad to be a part of the daily life on this street. We just keep going, day after day.
