N S Briyani Center

Our little place, N S Briyani Center, is tucked away in Pilaiyar Nagar, right on Court Road in the Maravaneri area of Salem. Most people know us because we are quite close to Prabu Pharmacy, which is a bit of a landmark around here. The morning starts early with the smell of spices filling up the small kitchen. We spend a lot of time over the big pots, making sure the rice and meat are cooking the way they should. It’s a simple routine that we have followed for a long time. The street outside gets quite busy because of the court being nearby, so we see a lot of different people coming through. Some are in a hurry, others just want a quick bite before they head back to work. We have a few tables and the usual chairs, nothing too special. The 636007 area has its own vibe, and we feel like a part of the daily life here. Sometimes the heat from the stoves gets to be a lot, but that is just part of the job. We don’t spend much time on decorations or fancy stuff. Our focus is just on the food and getting it out to whoever walks in. It’s a local business run by people who live nearby. We just keep our heads down and work until the pots are empty at the end of the day. It’s just how we do things in Salem.
