Pehalwan Da Dhaba

If you are driving on the road near Rohtak, you might see us sitting right opposite the petrol pump in Rohad. We are very close to Satlok Ashram in Village Karauntha. Being a dhaba, we don't go in for much decoration or fancy stuff. We have sturdy tables and chairs and plenty of space for people to sit down and eat. Most of our customers are travelers or truck drivers passing through, so we keep the food coming fast and hot. We cook the kind of heavy, filling meals you need when you've been on the road for hours and are feeling tired. The kitchen is always busy, especially the tandoor where we make the rotis. It gets quite hot in there, but that’s just the job. We serve lots of tea too, because people always need a break before they keep driving. It's not a quiet place, with the sound of the highway right there, but it has its own rhythm. We don't have a printed menu that changes every week; we stick to the things we know how to cook well. The service is quick and we don't use a lot of fancy words to describe the food. It’s just dal, vegetables, and bread. We open early and stay open late because the road never really sleeps. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we take pride in feeding anyone who stops by our door. It keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset and beyond.
