Jannat Dhaba

You will find us at number 10 on the Rohtak Delhi Road in Kharawar. We are directly across from the Mohinder Fastener factory, which is a big landmark around here. Being on the highway means we see a lot of different people every day. Truck drivers pull over in the dirt out front to take a nap or grab a bite. The road is always noisy with the sound of horns and heavy engines passing by. Our dhaba is an open-style setup with some outdoor seating and some under a roof. The tables are heavy and built to last. We don't use tablecloths because they would just get dirty with all the road dust. In the winters, it gets quite cold out here and we sometimes have a small fire going outside. In the summer, it’s all about the shade. The kitchen is visible from where you sit, so you can see the steam rising and hear the clatter of the pans. We serve simple meals that are meant to keep you going for the rest of your drive. There are no fancy garnishes or small portions here. It is just a basic roadside spot where the tea is always hot and the water is kept in big steel containers. We don't spend money on advertising. People just see the dhaba from the road and pull in when they are tired.
