Choudhary Shudh Vaishno Dhaba

This dhaba is located on the Kharawar Bye Pass along the Delhi Road in Rohtak. We are right near the Gangotri Petrol Pump, so a lot of people stop here when they are filling up their tanks. It is a simple place where we serve shudh vaishno food. There are no fancy decorations or soft chairs, just regular tables where you can sit and eat. The Delhi Road is always loud with the sound of big trucks and buses zooming past. We start the stoves early in the morning to get the dal and vegetables ready for the day. It gets quite busy during the lunch hours when the sun is high and everyone is hungry. We do most of the cooking and cleaning ourselves. Sometimes the rain makes the bye pass a bit muddy, but travelers still come in to get out of the weather and have a hot meal. We’ve been here at this location for a while now and we see the same faces every week, mostly drivers who work this route regularly. It is hard work staying on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. The menu doesn't change much because people like the simple stuff we make. We just keep the place open and make sure there is enough tea for everyone who stops by. It is just a plain dhaba for regular people on the road through Rohtak.
