Shambhunath Bhojanalaya

Our bhojanalaya is located in Hatia, which is part of Ranchi. We are very close to the Government Hospital and right beside the Hatia Station. Because we are so close to the station, we see a lot of travelers. People often come in with their bags and sit down for a meal before their train leaves. The hospital is also right there, so we get families who are visiting patients too. It is a very busy spot and there is rarely a quiet moment. Shambhunath Bhojanalaya is a simple place with a lot of movement. We have basic wooden tables and the kitchen is always working. Ranchi can be quite hot, so the shade inside the shop is usually a relief for people. We don't have any decorations or fancy lights. It is just a place to eat and move on. The staff here knows how to handle a crowd when the trains arrive. We keep the water jars filled and the floors clean. You can hear the sounds of the station from the front door. Sometimes the train whistles are very loud. We have stayed in this location because it is where the people are. We don't try to be anything other than a local eating house. It is honest work and we do it every day from dawn until the last train. That is just how life goes for us here in Ranchi, always busy and always moving.
