Palash Restaurants & Bars

Our spot is located on the Main Road in Ranchi, sitting pretty close to the overbridge. If you have spent any time in the 834001 area, you know how much noise and dust comes from all that traffic. Palash Restaurants & Bars is right in the thick of it. We open up the doors every morning and start by sweeping out the front. It is a daily battle with the city grime. The building itself has been around for a bit, so the walls have some character, and maybe a few cracks here and there. Inside, we have the dining tables and the bar area where we spend the bulk of our shifts. It is not some high-end lounge with velvet curtains; it is just a place to sit and have a drink or a meal. We deal with the usual stuff, like the generator acting up when the power goes out or a fridge that starts making a weird humming sound. The staff knows the regulars by name, mostly people who work in the offices nearby or travelers coming from the railway station. We don't really do much to promote ourselves. People just see the sign while they are stuck in traffic near the bridge and decide to stop in. It is a lot of work keeping the kitchen running and the bar stocked up, especially on Friday nights when things get a bit more hectic than usual.
