Mumbai Mail Restaurant

Mumbai Mail Restaurant is over at Birsa Chowk in Ranchi. We are in the Hinoo area, specifically in New Gandhi Nagar. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city center, but Birsa Chowk is a well-known landmark for anyone living around here. We picked the name because it reminded us of the trains and the travel between places. The restaurant is just a regular building where we set up some tables and chairs to serve the local crowd. Most of our visitors are people who live in Hinoo or work nearby. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just put a sign up and started cooking. The kitchen gets hot in the summers, but we keep the food going for the customers. It’s a simple life running a place like this. We see the same students and office workers every day. Sometimes people stop by when they are traveling through Ranchi because the chowk is a main point. We just serve what’s on the menu for the day and make sure nobody leaves hungry. There isn't a long story behind it. We just needed a way to make a living and we liked the idea of having our own restaurant. We stay open pretty late to make sure everyone gets their dinner after a long day at work. It is a quiet existence here in the city.
