Over in Navagam Anandpar, we’ve been doing video work and creation for a good many years. It started out small and it’s still pretty much a local operation. We have our cameras and a few computers set up in a space that’s mostly filled with cables and old tapes. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is. Most of the time, we are either out filming something nearby or sitting here at the desk trying to get the editing right. The light in Navagam is quite nice in the evenings, which helps when we have to go out for a shoot. We don’t have a big office with a receptionist; you just walk in and we’re usually there working on something. Sometimes the internet is slow, and that makes things take longer than they should, but that’s just how it goes here. We take a lot of photos too, not just videos. People come to us when they have something going on in the family or if they need something filmed for their own work. We’ve known most of our neighbors for years, so a lot of our work comes from people just stopping by to ask if we can help them with a project. It’s a lot of hours sitting in front of a screen, but we like being part of the community here in Anandpar.
