Anmol Restaurant

We are set up right on National Highway 8 in Wankaner, just across from the Bharat Petrol Pump. It’s a convenient stop for anyone driving between Rajkot and the other towns nearby. Most of our customers are people stopping for a break while they are on the road. The restaurant is a simple place, with rows of tables and chairs that we wipe down a hundred times a day. We don't have a printed menu with pictures; we just tell you what's cooking that day. Usually, it's the standard stuff that people like when they are traveling. The kitchen gets hot, especially during the summer months, but we stay busy. We’ve got plenty of parking space out front for trucks and cars. Sometimes the dust from the highway gets everywhere, so we are always sweeping. We’ve been here for a good while, and the petrol pump across the way is a good landmark for people to find us. It’s not a fancy dining experience, just honest food for hungry people. We see a lot of regular drivers who stop here every time they pass through. It’s a lot of work, and some days are slower than others, but we keep the doors open and the tea hot. That’s just how we run things here. We have a small TV in the corner that’s usually playing the news. The chairs are a bit mismatched because we’ve replaced them over time, but they work fine for a quick meal.
