Bangalore Blues

You can find Bangalore Blues over on University Road in Rajkot, right near the HP petrol pump. It’s a busy stretch of road because of all the students and people heading to work. We’ve been here for a bit, and it’s mostly a place where people come to hang out for a while. It’s not a very large space, so it can feel a bit cramped when everyone shows up at once in the evening. We have some music playing usually, though sometimes the speakers act up and we have to fiddle with the wires to get them working again. The furniture is just simple stuff we’ve put together. We don't have a big corporate team running things; it’s just a few of us trying to keep the place tidy and serve everyone. The windows get a bit dusty from all the traffic on University Road, so we are always wiping them down. It’s a casual spot, nothing fancy. We get a lot of young people who just want a place to sit and talk for a while. Sometimes we run out of things or the menu changes depending on what we could get from the market that day. It’s not perfect, but it’s our little corner of Rajkot. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the regulars who stop by after their classes are finished. It’s a decent enough place.
