Bricks (The Grand Bhagwati Seasons)

You can find us over at The Grand Bhagwati Seasons on Kalavad Road. We are pretty much directly opposite the old Drive In Cinema, which is a big landmark here in Rajkot. Being out on Kalavad Road means we deal with a lot of people traveling toward the outskirts or coming in from the newer housing areas. The hotel itself is quite large, and we are just one part of the whole setup there. It stays busy because of the events that happen at the Grand Bhagwati, but we have our own rhythm. I’ve worked here for a while and seen how the road has changed with more cars and shops popping up every year. The mornings are usually spent checking the inventory and making sure everything in the kitchen is where it should be. It’s a lot of work to keep a place this size going, and sometimes things break or get messy, but we fix them as we go. We don't really use a lot of flowery language to describe what we do. It’s just a job and we try to do it right every day. The view across the road toward the cinema is nice in the evenings when the lights come on. Most of our regulars are local families from around Rajkot who have been coming to this area for years.
