Amdawadi Tawa Fry Restaurant is sitting right here at Heera Complex on Jansatta Road. If you know the Phoolchhab Chowk area in Rajkot, you know it gets pretty crowded around here. We opened this place in the 360001 zip code because it felt like a good spot where people are always moving. The tawa stays hot most of the day. You can hear the spatulas hitting the metal from the sidewalk. We don't have much of a fancy setup. Just some tables and chairs that have seen better days. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we spend most of our time at the stove anyway. Jansatta Road has a lot of noise, with bikes honking and people walking to work. We start early to get everything ready. Sometimes the morning air in Rajkot is a bit dusty, but we just wipe down the counters and get going. There is no big team here, just a few of us making sure the food gets out. We’ve been at this Phoolchhab Chowk location for a while now. It is not a big corporate chain or anything like that. Just a local tawa fry shop where you can see your food being made right in front of you. We do not use any fancy machines. It is all hand work. The address is easy to find if you are near the Heera Complex building. We just keep our heads down and cook.
