Sonali Restaurant

You can find Sonali Restaurant right at Shop No. 2, 3, and 4 in the Vitthal Apartment building. We are on Race Course Road in Rajkot, not too far from Maganlal Ice Cream. It is a busy corner of the city, especially in the evenings when everyone is out for a walk. We have got a few tables inside and the kitchen is always humming. It is a bit noisy sometimes with the pans clanking and people talking over their meals, but that is just how it is. We do not do anything too complicated here. We cook the food, serve it on plates, and clear the tables when people are done. The staff is mostly just a few of us who have been here a long time. We know the regulars who come in every week for the same dish. Sometimes we run out of something on the menu, or the delivery is late, and we just have to figure it out. It is not a five-star place with white tablecloths. It is just a spot to eat near the Race Course. We keep the floor swept and the spices stocked. If you are walking by 360001 and looking for a bite, you will see our sign. We do not have a big marketing plan or anything. We just open the shutters in the morning and start prepping the vegetables for the day ahead. It is just a simple eating house for the locals.
