shree Madhav Dining Hall

If you go down University Main Road in Rajkot, you will find shree Madhav Dining Hall at Block No 113. We are very close to the FSL and the university itself. Because of that, we get many students who are looking for a meal that feels a bit like home. Living in a hostel can be tough, so they come here to eat. We do not have a fancy menu; it is usually a fixed meal or a few simple options. The dining hall is a plain room with long tables. It gets very noisy during lunch hours when the college batches let out. We have to work fast to make sure everyone gets their rotis while they are still hot. It is hard work to cook for so many people every day. We start our prep work early in the morning, chopping vegetables and getting the flour ready. We do not use any big machines, it is mostly done by hand by our cooks. The area around University Road is always full of young people and bikes. We have been part of this street for a good amount of time. We do not have any big slogans or advertisements. People just find out about us from their friends or classmates. We just try to keep the food simple and the price where people can afford it daily. It is a busy life but it is rewarding.
