Rangoli Park Restaurant

Running Rangoli Park Restaurant on Kalavad Road means dealing with a lot of traffic and noise all day long. We are right here in the Mota Mauva area, sitting almost exactly opposite Matuki Restaurant. People always use that other place as a landmark when they call us for directions, which is fine. Rajkot is growing so fast lately, and this stretch of road is always busy with cars and bikes. We open up the doors early to get the cleaning done before the sun gets too hot to handle. The park area we have takes a lot of work to maintain, especially during the dry months when we have to water everything constantly. Most of our regulars are families who live in the new apartments around Kalavad Road. They know us by name and we usually know where they like to sit. It is not like the big corporate places you see in the fancy malls. We keep things pretty simple here. The kitchen stays busy, and you can hear the clinking of plates from the street sometimes. On the weekends, this whole part of Rajkot feels like a festival and we just try to keep up with the crowd. Sometimes the staff gets a bit tired, but we manage to get through it. We have seen many businesses come and go around Mota Mauva, but we are still here. The evening breeze is the best part of the day when the humidity finally drops.
