Raju Pavbhaji & Restaurant

Raju Pavbhaji & Restaurant is at Vardhman Apartment on Palace Road in Rajkot. We are located right opposite Rajmandir Cold Drinks, which most people in the area know pretty well. Palace Road is a central part of Rajkot and it stays busy from morning until late at night. We have been serving pavbhaji here for a long time. The main thing you will see when you come in is the big flat griddle where we mash the vegetables and melt the butter. It is a noisy process and the smell of the spices and pav being toasted fills up the whole street. The restaurant is inside the Vardhman Apartment building on the ground floor. It is not a very large place, so on weekends, it can get a bit tight with families coming in. We have simple tiles on the floor and plain tables. We do not spend much time on the appearance of the place because we are too busy with the cooking. Rajkot people really love their food, and we try to give them what they expect. Sometimes the pav gets a bit extra toasted or the onions run out, but we just keep going. It is a lively atmosphere with kids running around and the sound of spoons hitting plates. We are glad to be part of the Palace Road community and have been here long enough to see kids grow up and bring their own families back.
