Parth Mobile

Our shop is on Kalavad Road in Rajkot, right across from the Neptune Tower. It’s a very busy part of the city and there is always someone coming in with a cracked screen or a phone that won't charge. The shop is small and filled with boxes of chargers, cases, and different parts. I spend most of my day sitting behind the glass counter with a small screwdriver in my hand. It’s delicate work and sometimes my eyes get tired from looking at the tiny circuits. People are always in a hurry on Kalavad Road, so they want their phones fixed in ten minutes, which isn't always possible. We have to explain that things take time. The noise from the traffic outside is constant, especially the bikes zooming past. Sometimes we just stand at the door for a minute to get some air when the shop gets too crowded. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know about electronics. We also do recharges and sell used phones when we have them. The shelves are a bit disorganized because we are always moving things around to find what we need. It’s a bit of a messy job, dealing with all these cables and batteries, but it’s what we’ve been doing for years here in Rajkot. We just keep fixing whatever comes through the door and try to keep the lights on.
