Over here on Marketing Yard Road in Rajkot, things are always moving. We are right by the RTO Office. You can see the people waiting in line for their licenses from our front door. Manohar Parotha House is a busy little place. Making parothas is what we do all day long. The griddle is always hot and there’s usually a cloud of flour in the air. We get a lot of truck drivers and people coming from the RTO who are tired and hungry. It’s a loud area because of all the traffic heading to the marketing yard. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and the menu. The benches are simple and we try to keep the water jugs filled. It gets very smoky when we are busy, but that’s just the smell of cooking. We've been in this spot for a long time. People know that if they are near the RTO, they can come to us for something that will actually fill their stomach. We don't use any of those modern machines; we still do most things by hand. It’s a lot of work, but we are used to it by now. The sun can be brutal on this road, so people appreciate sitting under our roof for a bit. We just keep our heads down and keep the parothas coming. It’s how we have always done things here on Marketing Yard Road.
