You can find us over in Chinchwad, right across from Talera Hospital. It is a busy little area in Pune. Our place is in Kakde Angan, specifically A1 / 11. It is more of an office setup than a big factory. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of the spices. It stays on your clothes all day. Pradeep is usually around handling the paperwork or talking to suppliers. We deal with all sorts of spices here. It is a lot of weighing, packing, and checking quality. Sometimes the dust from the chili or pepper makes everyone sneeze, but you get used to it after a week. The neighborhood is always noisy with the hospital traffic and people moving about. We have a small crew and we just get the work done. We do not really do big advertisements. Most people know us because they live nearby or have heard of Universal Spices Pvt Ltd from someone else. We spend our mornings sorting through the new arrivals and the evenings getting everything ready for the next day. It is a steady rhythm. The office is a bit cramped with all the bags around, but it works for us. We just focus on getting the spices out to the people who want them without much fuss. There is always tea being made in the corner.
