Shrinivas Food Product

We are based in Kothrud, over at J C Nagar, 2nd Cross. It’s a bit tucked away on the 16th Main. Shrinivas Food Product is basically where we spend all our time making snacks and packing them up. The kitchen area is where most of the action happens. We have big stoves and lots of stainless steel vessels. The air usually smells like fried gram flour or roasted spices. It can get very hot in there during the summer months. We are a small team, mostly family members helping out with the sealing of packets. We don't have fancy machinery; a lot of it is done by hand. We have to be very careful with the weights and the sealing so the food stays fresh for the customers. Kothrud is a busy part of the city, and we have lived here for a long time. Our neighbors often stop by to see what’s cooking or to buy something fresh. We don't really do any big marketing. We just sell to the local shops and some people who come directly to the 16th Main address. Sometimes we run out of ingredients and have to rush to the market. The floor gets a bit slippery with oil, so we are constantly cleaning it. It’s a lot of manual work, and our backs ache by the end of the day. But we like seeing the finished packets piled up ready to go out.
