Our place is at 30 Market Yard. If you’ve ever been to a market yard, you know it’s a world of its own with trucks constantly coming in and people shouting orders from dawn until dusk. Shreeji Kripa Oils & Foods is right in the thick of that environment. We handle large quantities of edible oils and various food items that come through here. The floor is often a bit slippery from the work, and there is always a faint smell of mustard or sunflower oil in the air. We don't really have a quiet office space; everything happens right there among the barrels and sacks. We spend our mornings checking the quality of what comes in and our afternoons getting orders ready for delivery to different shops. It’s a lot of physical work, moving things around and making sure the counts are right. We aren't some big fancy corporation with a marketing department or glossy brochures. We are just food traders who have been in the market for a long time. Our desks are old wooden ones tucked into a corner where we keep the ledger books and tea cups. We talk to farmers, truck drivers, and shopkeepers all day long. It’s a loud, greasy, and busy life, but it’s what we do. We just make sure the oil is good and the food is fresh before it leaves our doors for the customers.
