Samrat

If you are looking for Samrat, we are at 630, Shukrawar Peth, right on Shivaji Road. This is a very old part of the city and it’s incredibly packed most of the time. The building we are in has been around for ages and it has that old-school feel to it. Shivaji Road is always buzzing with people and vehicles, so it can be quite a challenge just to get to the door. We have a small shop floor and a back area for storage. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is kept. We don't bother with fancy displays or professional lighting. It is just a place where we do business. People come in from the street, ask for what they need, and we help them out. Sometimes we sit and have tea with the regulars who have been coming here for twenty years. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the floor is worn down from all the walking, but it feels like home to us. Working in Shukrawar Peth means you are never bored because there is always something happening outside on the road. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in. It’s a simple way of doing things and it works for us. We don't see the need to change how we operate after all this time in this neighborhood.
