Sadguru Krupa Gul

We are located out in Waregaon at Plot No-439/1, which is in Taluka Shurur. If you are looking for us, we are near the Bank of Maharashtra in Thana Pharata. Our main thing here is gul, or jaggery as some call it. It’s a traditional business and we’ve been at it for some time now. The process is pretty straightforward but it takes a lot of hard work and staying on top of things. We get the sugarcane and go from there. It can get pretty hot in the workspace, especially during the peak season when everything is running at full speed. We aren't a big corporation, just a local operation trying to make good quality gul for the people around here and the markets. You can usually smell the sweetness in the air when you get close to the plot. Most of our neighbors know us well, and we’re used to the quiet life in this part of the Taluka, except when the harvest is in. We watch the weather a lot because it affects how we work. The sugar mill trucks pass by and the whole place feels alive during that time. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a batch, and other times it's quiet enough to just sit and talk with the neighbors who stop by near the bank. It's not the kind of job where you wear a suit, it's about getting your hands dirty and making sure the jaggery sets just right.
